1. Service Description
CommitClarity is a software-as-a-service platform that provides AI-powered code quality analysis and comprehensive development analytics for GitHub repositories. Our service helps developers and teams gain insights into their development activity and code quality across all their projects.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CommitClarity, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using our service.
3. User Accounts
To use CommitClarity, you must:
- Have a valid GitHub account
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
- Not share your account with others
4. Subscription and Billing
CommitClarity operates on a subscription basis:
- Monthly subscription fee: $10/month
- Billing occurs monthly on your subscription anniversary date
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
- You may cancel your subscription at any time
- Service continues until the end of your current billing period after cancellation
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
5. GitHub Integration and Data Access
By using CommitClarity, you authorize us to:
- Access your GitHub repositories that you explicitly connect to our service
- Read repository metadata, commit history, and code content
- Analyze your code for quality insights and development patterns
- Store necessary data to provide our analytics services
You retain all ownership rights to your code and data. We only access repositories you explicitly authorize and use the data solely to provide our services.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Violate any laws or regulations in your jurisdiction
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
- Use the service to harm, threaten, or harass others
- Share or distribute malicious code through our platform
7. Intellectual Property
CommitClarity and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your code and data, while we retain ownership of our analysis, insights, and platform technology.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our data collection, use, and sharing practices are detailed in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Service Availability
While we strive to maintain high availability, we do not guarantee that CommitClarity will be available 100% of the time. We may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CommitClarity shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the service.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to CommitClarity immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service will cease immediately.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through our service. Your continued use of CommitClarity after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United States.
